    FOUR INDEPENDENT ASIAN HORROR FILMS:

Slate 2.0 features award-winning and groundbreaking works from filmmakers and actors of Asian Pacific Islander heritage.

    Honeymoon Suite, Writer/Director: Zao Wang (China / 2012 / 14 min)

Service is the top priority at this posh boutique hotel in Beijing, China. So when a mysterious American guest wreaks havoc, the new guest service manager must take charge to tame this beastly terror of a man while risking her own life to protect his secret and the hotel's reputation.

Chanthaly, Director: Mattie Do (Laos / 2013 / 98 min)

A young girl, raised alone by her overprotective father sequestered in their home in Vientiane, Chanthaly suspects that her dead mother's ghost is trying to deliver a message to her from the afterlife. After a change in the medication treating her hereditary heart condition causes the hallucinations to cease, Chanthaly must decide whether or not to risk succumbing to her terminal illness to hear her mother's last words.

    The Infected, Writer/Director: Barry Morgan (USA / 2014 / 15 min)

Four friends meet to celebrate their college graduation when a dirty bomb containing a highly contagious and lethal virus explodes in Los Angeles. Little do they know, the plague outside the front door is nowhere near as strong as the illness they've created inside. Starring Helenna Santos.

    I Am a Ghost, Writer/Director: H.P. Mendoza (USA / 2012 / 76 min)

Emily, a troubled spirit, haunts her own house every day, wondering why she can't leave. With the help of Sylvia, a clairvoyant hired to rid the house of spirits, Emily is forced into a 'patient/therapist' relationship, uncovering disturbing mysteries about her past that may help her move on to 'the next place'.
