2021 Internship Opportunities

OCA Internship Flyer.jpg

OCA Sacramento is joining with Mayor Darrell Steinberg’s office to recruit highly qualified candidates for internship opportunities.  The Mayor’s office is looking for people who are passionate about public service and willing to fulfill a variety of duties and responsibilities.  These include local policy issues, like homelessness, youth issues, economic development, arts and culture, and other issues.

While the internship is unpaid, the rewards are innumerable.  The successful candidate will learn so much about the workings of an elected member’s office, and have the opportunity to work closely with the Mayor and his staff.

OCA Sacramento will interview the initial applicants and pass along to the Mayor’s office three highly qualified people for them to make the final decision.

Read the following internship position descriptions carefully before applying. All positions will require the same general application material (resume and 1 writing sample response).

Deadline to apply is February 20, 2021
